About ASTRA EAGLE
ASTRA EAGLE is a series of Flash activities designed to help students perform better on standardized tests. There are 8 Math activities; 8 Reading activities; 7 Science activities; and 7 Ecology activities. They are targeted at 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.This CD contains 4 sample activities from our Math series along with screenshots from all activities.
The activities were conceived, developed, and tested at the Altoona Area School District in Altoona, Pennsylvania. In our testing, we found that the activities did not neatly fit into grade categories. 6th graders enjoyed playing 4th grade activities; 3rd graders enjoyed playing 6th grade activities; and we even saw kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade teachers using our 3rd grade activities in their classrooms. The activities are designed to be fun to play. This keeps students engaged and they stay in the activity. The longer they stay in the activity, the more standards-based content they are exposed to. ASTRA EAGLE is a series of painless, drill-and-repeat activities that students love to play.
